From a Financial Planner Who Gets It: Teaching Kids About Money Doesn't Have to Be Hard.
I felt a personal gap growing up—I didn’t learn much about money as a kid. But my Uncle Tim was a source of unwavering wisdom and guidance. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have discovered my passion for finance or be where I am today. Through his example, he taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and dreaming boldly. Later in my life, as a financial planner, I saw the same story repeating: too many adults struggling with lessons they never learned when they were young.
That’s what inspired me to create The Financial Adventures of Colby Jack. BrightCrumbs was born to make financial literacy warm, playful, and approachable for families. I hope to carry forward my uncle's spirit in all that I do, giving you a fun, simple, story-driven way to start these conversations early—without the stress or confusion.
